Meryem Yildiz is a poet, translator and visual artist based in Tiohtià:ke (Montreal). She has contributed to various multidisciplinary events, literary magazines, and other publications in Canada and abroad. Her work has appeared in The Malahat Review, Acta Victoriana, carte blanche, yolk, and Funicular Magazine, among others. In 2022, she won The Malahat Review’s Far Horizons Award for Poetry as well as the carte blanche Prize. She is a poetry editor at LBRNTH, a queer literature and arts magazine. Her debut collection is set to be published by Guernica Editions in 2025.
